Accutane is a form of vitamin A that is put into medication such as Oratane, Isotret, Sotret, and Isotrex. This medication is used in cases where patients have used other methods or medications to get rid of severe acne. The problem with taking these medications with accutane is that it can cause Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. These illnesses are types of inflammatory bowel disease. Some of the symptoms that are very uncomfortable to the person are cramping, pain, diarrhea, bleeding, and frequent bowel movements.
