Hurricane Ike

I realize I am behind a little talking about Hurricane Ike but I recently saw some pretty amazing pictures of the devastation caused by this hurricane. The horror for the people who live in this area and have to deal with all the damage. My heart goes out to them. I pray they are receiving the help they deserve.

My Birthday

It is my birthday today and at midnight last night I got a call from my mom and she was singing Happy Birthday to me. I was shocked because she is usually in bed. When I lived at home, she would come in our bedroom to wake us up on my birthday and my brother's birthday and sing Happy birthday to us. As she would say, " I sing it in an annoying way." I get a kick out of it now because she has done it for so many years.
This past weekend I celebrated my birthday with my parents and brother. We had great food and great presents. My parents gave me some money to buy my own gifts so today I am going out to shop for my birthday present. It should be fun and I am looking forward to it.

Miami Heat Tickets

I love going to sporting events and concerts but it is not always very easy to find tickets. They either get sold out or if there are any for sale they are in a bad location or in the nose bleed section. Movie Contest

A few months ago I was asked to join a short film contest. So I entered my film called All Alone. I got entered into the finals by getting lots of votes. Now I had to enter another short film so I entered in the sequel to All Alone. In a couple of days the voting begins again. I'm hoping and praying that I get a lot of votes.

Wrestling

I'm a big wrestling fan. I watch it whenever they have it on tv. My brother and I have been able to go to them live and we try and get to the auditorium way before the event happens. We have met so many of the wrestlers and have gotten pictures and autographs. I'm hoping in the near future that we will be able to attend another one.

I've been watching Prison Break again this season and I think it's better then ever.It keeps you wondering what's going to happen next and there are some very close calls in the show. University Online

I am attending an university online. I love it and it is so nice that I can fit my schooling into my schedule that is convenient for me. If I want to work at night or on the weekend on my schoolwork I have that priviledge. Villisca Ax Murder House

Last year my friends and I went and spent the night in one of Iowa's most haunted places. It was the sight of eight gruesome murders back in 1912. We got to have the whole house to ourselves and got to do a huge investigation. The night was crazy. We talked to little girls, little girls were singing, we had our clothes tugged and many other things happened. It was such a great time and I suggest it to anybody who wants to get freaked out.

Prison Break Trip

A while back my friend Jeff and I went to Joliet, IL. We went to go see his brother and see the prison where they taped Prison Break. It was so awesome we first went and saw the prison, walked all around it and checked some different things out. We then went out to an old quary that was a little ways from the prison. It ended up being a place that taped a scene for prison break. In the scene they break out tail lights of a van and at the place I found a part of the light so that was really sweet.

Presidential Dollars

Have you ever seen that show that is usually on later at night called the Cable Shopping Network? This show has a lot of collectible items on it and one kind of collectible I found quite interesting is the presidential dollars. They have a nice selection of these coins and in a wide price range. What a cool thing to collect. Not only can you purchase the president coins but they also have spouses of the presidents. This website is very interesting to navigate. Ghost Rider

Well I saw Ghost Rider. It was pretty awesome. It had awesome graphics and good actors. It was really cool to see the the transformation right in front of your eyes of Nicolos Cage turning into a skeleton and then being on fire. Sam Niels part as the original ghost rider was really sweet. Instead of a motorcycle he rode a horse that was on fire. I'm sure glad I got it on DVD.

Indiana Bill

My brother and I have made a cult classic set of movies called Indiana Bill. What started out as a spoof as now spawned for other movies and another one on the way. I have always loved making movies and fun little clips of my brother and I just goofing off. I will probably always want to do this and may never grow out of it.

Rare Coins

I love to collect things that I think will be of value some day. I collect Starwars memorabilia. I've done it since I was quite young and I love my collection. Some people enjoy collecting stamps and coins. I would probably enjoy doing that too. I especially think getting a rare coin is pretty cool. I have gotten some special coins from different countries and I treasure them. I love to see what has been imprinted on them and see the year they were made. Football

One thing that my brother and I really enjoy doing is going to a park where there are a lot of trees and great scenery and toss a football around. Fall is my favorite season and I think we enjoy playing football the most at that time. It has been awhile since we've had a chance to do that so hopefully it will happen soon.

Awesome Weather

This week has been amazing for weather. The temperatures have been climbing into the 80s with no humidity and then it cools way down into the 50s at night so it makes for great sleeping. I was starting to wonder if we were going to get anymore warm weather this season the way September started out. It sounds like we will have more of this great weather through the weekend.

Joker

Awhile back before the movie The Dark Knight came out, I was shopping and saw they were starting to get action figures out for the movie. They had a very cool action figure of the Joker. It cost $12 but I didn't have the money at the time. I regularly visit ebay and have been noticing that this action figure has been selling for $80! Last night I found one in the store and was so surprised because they have been all sold out. I bought it and am planning on keeping it in it's package. I am hoping to get a glass box to display it in. I was pretty excited to find it.

Happiness is Pets

Having a pet is the greatest thing ever. I had a black lab and her name is Lucky. I had to give her to some friends because I am still in college and it just didn't work to keep her. I miss her a lot because she was my best friend. She loved me no matter what. Lucky was so loyal and was crazy happy all the time whenever I would come home from school or work. Happiness is Pets and I know that for a fact. A pet doesn't get mad at you and loves you at all times.

Birthday

My birthday is coming up next week and my brother and I are going home for the weekend to celebrate. It has been awhile since we've been home and I'm ready. My mom is going to make me a strawberry cake and get some black cherry ice cream. I always want Norwegian pancakes so I'm sure that's what my mom will make. I'm really looking forward to it.

Hawkeyes

There has been so much talk this week about the big game today between the Hawkeyes and the Cyclones. This is a big deal in the state of Iowa. I'm a Hawkeye fan and was cheering them on and they came through today. They beat the Cyclones 17-5. It was sweet. Go Hawks!

Weights

Since we have moved to this new apartment my brother, our roommate and I have been trying to make a routine of going down to the workout room every night and do some kind of exercise. The thing I enjoy doing most is lifting weights. Out of the 3 of us I can lift the most. It's fun to see how much I can actually lift. I can feel it in my clothes that the weight is shifting for the better. I need to keep it up cause it's great to feel the results.
